AIN'T LIFE GRAND!

President Obama is turning out to be the disappointment I anticipated he'd be. As I sat down today to blog about his speech at the ASU Commencement, I realized that I will always be disappointed in him and I'll always feel the need to argue my disagreements with him. But what doth that profit me?

I've always been stunned at the amount of hate the Bush-haters were able to generate against a good man, with whom they merely disagreed. They decided that anything he did that was contrary to their beliefs must be illegal and he was, therefore, a criminal. And since he was stupid, it must have been Cheney who was the criminal, telling Bush what to do.

Actually, neither Bush nor Cheney are criminals. They did their best to protect the United States of America. They kept us safe from another attack. They tried to make America better. History (not today's history, written by the left-wing media and the left-wing academia) will decide whether or not they were successful.

As much as I disagree with Mr. Obama, he won the last presidential election. Some 70 million people voted for him and some 60 million people voted against him. Certainly not a mandate, but a win, nonetheless.

He has the right to lead us in whatever direction he wants, within the bounds set by the Constitution and the checks and balances Congress uses.

In my opinion, his mistakes, foibles, quirks, shortcomings, and weaknesses are legion. Some of the things his admirers think are great, like speaking, for instance, are some of his greatest weaknesses, as in teleprompter! He's not even a very good reader!

He's destroying the economy. Bush got the economy going in the wrong direction, but Obama has taken it to negative levels that Bush couldn't even fathom.

So, despite his 100+ mistakes, missteps, and screw ups in his first 100+ days, I'm going to lay off him for awhile. I don't want to turn into an "Obama-hater." I want to keep my sanity, unlike the Bush-haters. I want to enjoy life, unlike the Bush-haters. I want to continue to love my country, unlike the Bush-haters.

Regardless of the fact that just about every newscast causes me anxiety as I see the damage Mr. Obama is doing to our great country, I'm going to leave him out of my blogs for awhile.

I have too many things to be happy about; too many things that I love; too many things for which I'm grateful to continue to write about and obsess about a bad president.

My new theme will be, "Ain't life grand!"
