Karen and I are going to have a little weekender next week. I'm flying to St. Louis, MO tomorrow (Monday, June 22nd) to work Monday through Thursday. Besides work, I'll visit Christy & Richard Flood and, hopefully, Dylan and Jeremy), sometime during the week. Then on Thursday, I'll pick up Karen (and Richard and Judi Judd) at the St. Louis Airport, drop by the Flood's house so Karen can say a quick "hello," then we'll head up to Nauvoo.
Thursday evening, we have a dinner appointment with John and Judy Sandstrom, a couple from our Ward who are serving a mission in Nauvoo.
Some friends of ours, Steve and Pat Glenn, have restored the Zion's Mercantile Hotel, where we'll stay at the Jos. Smith Suite. We got the Steve Glenn Discount, which is "raise the price 20%, then knock of 10%." What a deal!!
On Friday morning, we have a reservation at the Temple, where we'll spend a couple of hours.
The rest of the time, we're going to relax, tour Nauvoo, go to some of the outlying areas that are Church History sites, and generally just hang out.
I'll report on our trip when I return on Monday, June 30th.
