THE SWALLOWS HAVE RETURNED
You might remember last year we had a mom and dad swallow build a house on our front porch. The next thing we knew, we were the proud grand parents of 4 baby swallows!
We'll they've returned again this year and set up housekeeping in their same little mud home, lined with soft, downy feathers.
Click on the photo for a close up look at the babies. Three have hatched and two are still working at it.
We love animals at our house. We have 6 cats, 2 dogs, and we feed thousands of finches, doves, quail, hummingbirds, European starlings, and whatever else shows up for dinner.
Ain't life grand?

Hey, I just realized, these baby swallows look like Buttercup.

Oh, one more thing...those eggs are about the size of a big jelly bean and the babies heads are about the size of a baby pea.
